Dravet Italia Onlus is the Italian association that is actively committed to helping children suffering from the form of epilepsy known as Dravet.
Our client needed a mobile app to keep track of the child's seizures related to Dravet syndrome.
The aim was to create a virtual "medical record", with a history of seizures, treatments and an archive of documents.
In the mobile app you have the possibility to compile the register of crises, therapies and clinical examinations.
You can upload content such as texts, photos and videos related to the patient. There are also news and document sections.
During the development of the different Dravet project parts, we used the following technologies:
The web app was built with Node.js as the backend and Vue.js for frontend development. This combination made it possible to create a dynamic and responsive user interface.
The mobile app was developed using the Flutter framework, which made it possible to create a cross-platform native app with a single code base, ensuring a uniform user experience on iOS and Android devices.
For the EPAG website, the Ruby on Rails framework was used, known for its effectiveness in developing scalable and high-performance web applications.
Finally, EPICARE was realised with Vue.js for its flexibility and ease of use in creating dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
Thanks to the mobile app, parents of young patients can have a complete and up-to-date clinical picture of the situation always at hand.
Together with the mobile app, we created the desktop web application. The two systems are interconnected via a REST interface that makes data available for both components.
We created the graphic layout from the user flow of the mobile app, first structuring the overall architecture and then the individual graphic elements.
